Weber-Morgan Health officials are encouraging continued vigilance to prevent the spread of measles in our communities. There are no cases in Weber or Morgan Counties as of 12/1/2025, but we have been notified that a confirmed case visited the Children’s Treehouse Museum in Ogden on Nov. 26 before they were diagnosed on Nov. 29.
If you visited the museum on Nov. 26 between the hours of 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. watch for symptoms watch for measles-like symptoms and contact your local health department.
Those who visited the sites are asked to monitor for symptoms until Dec. 17. Symptoms include:
- high fever
- cough and runny nose
- red eyes
- a distinctive red rash that typically starts on the face and spreads downward.

Measles is a highly contagious virus that can have complications such as ear infections, diarrhea, pneumonia, encephalitis (brain swelling), and, in severe cases, blindness and death.The best way to prevent the spread of measles it to get vaccinated. We strongly encourage anyone who is unvaccinated to contact their physician or our immunization clinic (801) 399-7250 to make an appointment to speak with a nurse and receive the vaccine.
